Bio

Based in Vancouver, Washington, Bethany Schweitzer is a vocalist, educator, composer and arranger with a passion for choral music. She currently teaches middle school in Vancouver, WA and performs with Oregon Repertory Singers under the direction of Dr. Ethan Sperry.

A proud alumna of Portland State University, she earned her Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in music with a focus on education and vocal performance. She has studied voice under Susan B. Hinshaw and Ruth Dobson and continues to sing as a soloist with the Portland chapter of Opera on Tap. She has also been sought as a vocal clinician for middle and high school solo and ensemble festivals in both Oregon and Washington and formally taught private voice lessons.

Her work bridges performance and education, reflecting her deep commitment to the choral arts and an understanding of developing voices.
